About the audit
What is an SEO audit?
A check of your website for the things that stop it from showing up on Google: pages Google can’t find, slow loading, problems on phones, weak titles, missing pages and broken links. Ours marks each problem on a screenshot of your own pages, and says how to fix it.
What does your SEO audit include?
Eight areas: indexing, speed, the phone version, titles and headings, content, local search, links and structured data. The full list is on the what we check page.
How long does an SEO audit take?
It depends on the size of the site. A ten-page local business site and a shop with 2,000 products are different jobs. When we reply to your request, we tell you when to expect yours.
What do you need from me?
Your website address and an email to send the audit to. We don’t need passwords or access to your site.
Why screenshots instead of a long report?
A list of 200 warnings gets ignored. A screenshot of your own page with the problem circled shows where it is and why it matters in a few seconds, and you can forward it to whoever built your site.
Do you check the phone version?
Yes, on its own. Google uses the phone version of your site to rank it, and plenty of sites that look fine on a laptop break on a phone. You get screenshots of both.
What kinds of sites do you audit?
Any public website: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or hand-built. Local businesses, online shops, clinics, blogs.
How often should a website get an SEO audit?
After any redesign, platform move or big drop in traffic, and otherwise about once a year. Redesigns are when indexing slips, like a forgotten noindex tag, happen most.
Price
Is the audit really free?
Yes. No card, no account, no call. If you want help with the fixes we send you a price, and you can say no.
Why is the audit free?
Because it’s the best way for you to judge our work. You see exactly what we found on your own site before anyone talks about money.
What do the fixes cost?
It depends on the job: how many pages are involved, how your site is built, and whether a fix is a setting or a rebuild. Changing 20 page titles is a small job; giving six services their own pages is a bigger one. The sample audit shows both kinds.
You choose the fixes from your audit, we send a written price for exactly those, and you decide.
Do I have to hire you after the audit?
No. The audit is yours to keep and to use however you like, including handing it to someone else.
Do you charge by the month?
No. Fixes are priced per job, and we only start a job you have accepted.
After the audit
Can I fix the problems myself?
Usually, yes. Every problem in the audit comes with the fix in plain words. Some need your web person; some you can do in your site builder in a few minutes.
Can you get me to the top of Google?
Nobody can honestly promise a position on Google. What we can do is find what is holding your site back and fix it properly, and the audit shows you exactly what that is.
Your data
What happens to my email?
We use it to send your audit and to reply to you. We don’t sell it, and we don’t add it to a mailing list. The privacy policy has the details.
You sent me an audit I didn’t ask for. Why?
We look for sites with problems we can fix and send the audit first, so you can judge the work before anyone talks about money.
If you’d rather not hear from us, reply “no thanks” and we won’t write again.
No question matches that. Write to hello@fixguider.com and a person answers.
